Mission Statement
The North Stars Gymnastics Team is comprised of dedicated young women, ages six to eighteen years, who have a love for the sport of artistic gymnastics. Training at the North Stars Gym Academy in Boonton, New Jersey, these committed young women practice nine to thirty hours per week in order to perfect their skills in the four women’s gymnastics events: vault, uneven bars, baance beam, and floor exercise. These gymnasts participate in local invitational competitions. Some of these athletes qualify to compete in state, regional, and national level meets.

As a result of their dedication and hard work, these young women develop strong bodies, minds, and a commitment to success. They learn focus, self-discipline, organization, and persistence, skills that will follow them throughout their lives.

The North Stars Association for Competitive Gymnastics, NSACG, is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to support these young athletes, at all levels of the USAG teams, regardless of individual achievement, competitive standing, or ability. The NSACG raises funds to enter and send the gymnasts, with their coaches, to competitions, while supplying them with the equipment necessary for training.
Organization
The NSACG is comprised of parents or guardians of every North Stars Team member. It is guided by a Board of Directors as specified in the NSACG By-Laws.
The Directors, who are nominated and elected by the General Membership, serve for a term of one year, from July 1 to June 30 of the following year.

All functions within the organization are volunteer. There is no direct financial compensation for individuals performing NSACG duties. However, some nominal assessment credit may be given for certain tasks. Each member's family has one vote per gymnast for coding purposes.
Commitment
In order to support these young athletes, parents/guardians of North Stars Gymnastics Team members are required to be members of the NSACG. This membership includes both a time and a financial commitment.
NSACG members must sign a Commitment Letter at the beginning of each year agreeing to the terms of the membership policy.

The Board of Directors is the guiding body of the NSACG as specified in the By-Laws.
